How Cool Is This?

This is real. Someone took a vintage Vespa and made it into a child's rocker. I am so freaking jealous. Check it out at Ohdeedoh.

Thank You For Being A Friend

Due to my ever expanding family, and my pathologic need to buy them gifts, I've had to cut back on my spending in the friend category, but I still like to create a little something to let them know I care. Maybe this would fit the bill?

I found it over at Twig & Thistle. Everybody likes a little something sweet and who doesn't have fond memories of roasting marshmallows for S'mores? I love an easy, creative idea.

One for the Kiddos

I always have kind of a hard time figuring out what to get for my neices and nephews. I hate to get them some toy that will fall apart in a week. Even worse if they lose interest in it before it fall apart. I guess I just have to take a chance on some things.
That's why I like this DIY Monster Kit from The Future Perfect. Boys and girls alike can create their own little monster from the wool pieces.
Hey, it beats a Tickle Me Elmo (or whatever the kids are clamoring for these days).

I've Been So Distant...

A thousand apologies for my extended absence! I promise I have a good reason. The powers-that-be at work seem to think I'm worthy of more responsibilities. So, for the past two weeks, I've been learning the ropes of a new position. Now that I'm getting a grip on it, I can take a moment to post something new! What better to pull me away from the paperwork than Stella McCartney's much talked about collection for Gap?

There are some really amazing standout pieces (see below), but most of the pieces are incredibly wearable like the sweaters and leggings.

Is the Band Jacket an ode to her uber-famous father? And I love, love, love the Flower Applique Dress!

Give this tutu to the little princess in your life. I know of a few nieces who would love this kind of thing!
